Housing

  • Create new solutions for affordable housing in Downtown Madison.

  • Invest in workforce housing for people who work on State Street and the surrounding downtown businesses

  • Create solutions to the housing crisis in Madison by working with other alders to identify areas of opportunity to relieve development pressures in key areas.

Business

  • Create new programs for first-time commercial business owners to be able to afford rent on State Street and invest in new entrepreneurs

  • Invest in minority-owned women-owned, BIPOC-owned, veteran-owned small businesses on State Street and create a new scaffolding for the economic development department that supports the creation of new businesses in the downtown area
